I am really sorry - I'm very behind with replying to things again. We have been installing a new broadband connection this weekend (which worked surprisingly well) and then everything else went rather pear-shaped, as life has a habit of doing from time to time.

Now we're in recovery mode - S is doing the Observer cryptic crossword and I'm on the internet (hi!). I've just changed my email address as well (oh goodie) with all that that entails.

The excellent news is that I've had an email from my travelling nephew in Bolivia. I never did South America in my youth, but as a person with no progeny, it's very cheering to have a nephew who likes doing the same things I did! He and his girlfriend started in the States and then headed south...and sent us an Oaxaca blanket as a wedding pressie!

This is a shortie, so I won't put in an LJ cut. Must take more doll photos. Emma now has a body and a really eye-piercing yellow tracksuit (ouch!). Yuki is being traded, despite his new face-up being much better. I am still waiting for his head to come back from Spain. Have sold Miso to...you know who you are! ;) And have got a Souldoll Paris on layaway. The Yuki trade is a part-trade for a Unoa B-el and I am VERY excited! I think I may get a Classic Narae for him with a Custom face-up. I think the main prob with my original Narae was that, though beautiful, she had the default face-up (VERY basic) and NO eyelashes!

Also...whisper it...I am a secret admirer of Naomi and Grim. Somehow the petite girl with the large yet gentle boyfriend is very touching. Aw. I'm an old romantic sucker. LOL

I have bought the very limited black doll Cocori from Iplehouse. I'm thrilled to have got her; but I had to borrow my Dad's credit card in order to pay. So it is now IMPERATIVE that I sell Yukinojo. I'm going to put some photos of him under an LJ cut below.

I hope I won't regret it. sedens takes such beautiful photos of her boy. The trouble has been that, in the end, he didn't really look like the character I got him to represent. He's close; he's even meant to be half-Russian. But I've yet to find a doll that really looks like the guy.

I got worried that Annat and Febe were showing signs of yellowing. I have tried to clean them, but nothing came off. It can't be tar from the cigarette smoke because that would leave a deposit. But they don't look half as bad by artificial light. Anyway, I had a good play with them and redressed everyone except Sasha PF, and got Holly reassembled after her fab face-up by Cherry-Street~Sera. Holly looks so much better now.

So I think I'm going to take some photos. I hope they don't come out like the ones I took of Yuki and Bernard, in which a mist seems to have descended. It's not a blur from camera-shake.

No photos of kkotmu yet...she made it today after her accidental trip to Aberdeen and arrived looking rather cross. I love her but can't think of a name yet!

Having just found a name for Holly (Unoss), i have done her a mischief. I was trying to put a new wig on and gripped her between my legs (don't try this at home, folks) and her foot snapped off. AAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!

We took her leg off carefully and the little hook in her foot had sheered right off. Stephenopod says he will put one in...a small brass hook - but he was a bit dubious that we'd find a drill bit small enough!

Poor Holly has been put to bed next to Miss Obitsu (another doll that needs a proper name) and is looking most aggrieved! I'm sure the other dolls are staring at me accusingly. I was just too gung ho and I feel quite guilty. I haven't broken a doll before. I just hope Pod and I can fix her, otherwise we may be sending out a call for emergency doll assistance!
