I wish I were at Glastonbury...

kunoichi
...said the Ageing Hippy.

I suppose distance lends enchantment to the view. I don't suppose I would like the crowds and the mud. But there are so many other things.

We can't afford it anyway and I don't know that Pod would cope with the lack of sanitary arrangements.

Womad weekend I am going away with Tim and Gillian (yay!) and Buddha Field only sells weekend tickets, so I think maybe no festivals for us again this year.

On the other hand, Gillian, Tim and I are going to Wells, which should be fun. It will be after Gillian gets back from Vancouver and comes down to Bath. It will be over a year since I have seen either of them. On the other hand, I do speak to Gillian most weeks - it's Tim who is hard to keep in touch with.

Doll news: All being well, I am buying a nude Masher from someone. I have paid them the bulk of the money already. The last few weeks have caused me to do some serious thinking. I'm very grateful for all the support I've had from friends. The re-appearance of the Bupster cheered me enormously.

every year i try to go to a couple of local festivals, but its always alot of effort too,but then i think of the alternative,of missing out on lifes little flutters of wonder and i do my best to go and drag myself back to my "real life" lol
good about the "M" girl doll...i hope you give her a new name cuz that name does not suit her
sorry i haven't posted much but have been reading a fiction based on artists and Bishop Henry Despenser {the bishop peaked my cultivated-villian interest lol}
:)

Bishop Suspender and festivals wheee
Mm I like the sound of the cultivated villain :) though the Despensers will always be the Suspenders for me (which is sillier in UK English).
I will change M's name, all being well.
The main prob. with festivals is lack of dosh...also the last couple of times I went to Womad, I got too hot due to excess Jessica. But I do miss it - it's especially fun when you camp out in a field.
Aha! Have just remembered the Village Pump festival at Stowford :D (rubs hands gleefully). This is small and local^^

So glad you were able to get a Masha after all!
Sorry not to comment about the situation - I've been traveling again.
I don't think you're a flipper or a scalper - of course not!
Just someone (like me) of limited means who sometimes has to sell to buy. And someone who isn't necessarily happy about that part of it. (When I have a little money, like you, I tend to buy back the doll I "had" to sell, in one form or another.) Masha is definitely a Buy Back for me. I'm really sorry I ever sold my lovely Sasha.
