News from Nowhere

Back again with apologies. Apart from the usual head-bangin' stuff, I have been slightly distracted after the hill on the other side of the road collapsed slightly and shunted various large stones into the road. Fortunately no-one was hurt, but the Council closed the road and then for several days...Nothing Happened.

This was rather unnerving and without banging on about it too much, my husband had an anxiety attack and we ended up in A&E (having arrived by car not ambulance, I hasten to add). After a couple of hours' wait, they gave him (drum roll) a valium!

We saw our GP next day and she gave us both several valium. Luckily this Friday some wonderful workmen appeared with heavy-duty earth-moving equipment, and started moving earth.

Unfortunately the incident has had a negative impact on mental health in these parts, which is so tedious.

However...on a more cheery note, Children of the Shaman is about to reappear as an eBook. This is quite jolly as it has been out of print for yonks. I will probably add links and stuff tomorrow in case anyone wants to buy it (coff coff) but in the mean time I had better start scanning The Glass Mountain and - off we go again.

Here's the cover art for the new edition by Skylar Faith of Truenotdreams Design, who is my hero.

8D That's a great cover! I'm still massively backed up on reading but I'll add your new book to the list of To Buy Or Else! when the links show up. *cheers you on*

And a general D: at the hillside collapse. I live in a part of the world prone to hills sliding and wow, totally understand the worries there. We deliberately bought a house on very flat ground specifically because of that worry. I hope it all gets straightened out and stabilized quickly!

It has been pretty crazy. And you are not alone - I'm massively backed up on reading likewise. I proof-read a friend's book, but I'm honestly all over the place. I should be doing research for Winterbloom and that's been on hold for ages.

(Grins and waves back just as madly)

*nod-nod-nod* I've got a few things I should be researching (Ancient Greece, I really gotta do massive amounts of research into ancient Greece) and I just haven't done it. I actually managed to spend half an hour reading a book last night and felt quite proud of myself for it. *wry smile*

Hope your busy goes away enough that you can get to your reading and research, sweetie! :D
